Cinder Volume Stuck in Migrating State
Problem
Cinder Volume is stuck in Migrating State. The OpenStack Volume show os-vol-mig-status-attr:migstat as "migrating"

- Platform9 Managed OpenStack - All versions.
- Cinder
Cause
The Cinder Volume shows migration status as "migrating" even after completion of migration.
Resolution
- Check if the volume is successfully migrated to the destination Cinder node. Also check for any errors in cinder logs of source/destination nodes and on the management plane.
- If the volume is successfully migrated run the below command to reset the status
# cinder reset-state --reset-migration-status <volume-uuid>Was this page helpful?
