Positioned as an open source alternative to AWS Lambda, Platform9’s Fission uses containers and Kubernetes to underpin its event-based function-as-a-service framework. New features include testing enhancements, automated canary deployments, Prometheus integration and the ability to trade off cost vs. performance with pre-warmed container pools. To build application logic, Fission Workflows (in beta) is a low-code platform for tying multiple functions and triggers together.
