April 2026 Roundup: MSP Summit, Channel Partner Momentum, and What’s Coming in May
Platform9 had an active April across in-person events, partner ecosystem growth, and digital enablement. Here’s what happened and what’s ahead.
MSP Summit and Channel Partners Conference & Expo — April 13–14, Las Vegas
Platform9 exhibited at MSP Summit and the co-located Channel Partners Conference & Expo at The Venetian in Las Vegas. The event brought together managed service providers, VARs, and systems integrators evaluating their infrastructure strategy in a post-VMware market.
Platform9’s booth drew consistent traffic from MSPs actively planning VMware exits—driven in part by the team’s co-location with Veeam, demonstrating the validated backup integration that MSPs consistently rank as their top evaluation requirement. Live demos of Private Cloud Director’s UI and vJailbreak’s non-destructive migration workflow gave attendees a hands-on view of the migration path.
The conversations reinforced what we’re hearing across the channel: MSPs want more than a VMware replacement. They want a platform they can build a managed services practice on—with multi-tenancy, predictable per-core economics, and the flexibility to expand into new service lines like Kubernetes and GPU workloads.
Global Channel Partner Program Doubles in Two Quarters
In related partner news, Platform9 announced that the Global Channel Partner Program has doubled in size over the past two quarters. The program now spans 10 countries, with partners including CDW, SHI, Crayon, Kodata, ABnet, and Ocadon. Service providers are deploying and validating Private Cloud Director as a VMware vCloud Director replacement within two to four weeks. Platform9 also reported a 67% increase in contracted customers over the past fiscal year.
