Platform9, the startup best known for its SaaS-based, fully managed hybrid cloud platform, today announced that it has raised a $25 million Series D round led by NGP Capital.

Platform9 offers the industry’s only SaaS-managed Hybrid Cloud solution that delivers fully automated day-2 operations with 99.9 percent SLA for Kubernetes, bare-metal, and VM-based environments.

This round was led by NGP Capital, with participation from Mubadala Ventures and all existing investors (Redpoint Ventures, Menlo Ventures, Canvas Ventures, and HPE Pathfinder).

Platform9 shares best practices for Kubernetes at scale on Bare Metal, with RDBMS, and with serverless apps at Open Source Summit and other industry events in August.

Platform9 will present three sessions at Open Source Summit North America. The company is also sponsoring VMworld 2019 US, and will present at a live webinar from VMworld about Kubernetes and cloud-native for Enterprise IT.
