Image Management
This article describes how to manage OS images that are to be used for bare metal deployment. For an in-depth description on how to deploy a bare metal node, read Deploying Bare Metal Instances.
For standalone deployments, there are no limitations around which image PMB can deploy to bare metal.
Viewing Imported Images
Navigate to the Images tab to view all currently imported images. You can also view their status, size, visibility, and other customizable details.

You can perform actions, such as:
- Editing images
- Adding and removing metadata
- Deleting images
You can also filter the view and search for specific images.
How to add a Glance Image in PMB
Click on Add a New Image
at the top right corner of the Images
view.

This page outlines the various ways in which you can import a Glance image, which can later be used while deploying a bare metal instance in PMB.
You can either manually copy images to the host in the specified location, or use the OpenStack Glance Client.
You can also create a new image from scratch.
Once created, the image will appear in the list on the Images
view, from where it can be managed.
It will also be available during deployment of bare metal instances, at the Image Selection
step, as shown below.
