What Is PMK
Platform9 Managed Kubernetes (PMK) is a SaaS managed Kubernetes offering that makes it effortless run Kubernetes on any infrastructure — private, public and edge clouds.
For an introduction to Kubernetes, we recommend reading What is Kubernetes? And what can it do for you?
Who is this documentation for?
The PMK documentation is for administrators and operators of PMK who are responsible for creating and maintaining Kubernetes clusters for their organization. This is not intended to be general purpose Kubernetes documentation.
Please refer to the official Kubernetes documentation for more detailed information on Kubernetes.
Benefits of PMK
PMK is deployed using a unique and powerful Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model, where our cloud hosted management plane remotely deploys, manages, monitors and upgrades your Kubernetes clusters, built anywhere:
- on-premises on your data centers,
- on VMware environment, or on-premises VMs created on other private cloud platforms
- using public cloud as IaaS layer with PMK's Kubernetes distribution
- at an edge location such as retail stores, radio cell towers for telecommunication providers, etc
This enables us to provide a hassle-free Container-as-a-Service (CaaS) platform with a guaranteed 24x7x365 SLA for your hybrid Kubernetes environment.
