PMB is a SaaS-managed Bare Metal platform that is vendor agnostic and helps you transform your bare metal physical infrastructure in your data centers, co-locations or edge locations - into an agile self-service bare metal cloud.
Instant provisioning of bare metal servers
PMB reduces the time required to provision a new server from weeks to minutes and with little to no manual effort. Whether you are expanding your data center footprint or running bare metal servers in edge locations, you can now provision hundreds of servers seamlessly without wasting the cycles of your best technical resources.
Cloud-native and self-service consumption model
PMB provides full REST API support so that cloud administrators can use PMB to fully automate deployment of their bare metal infrastructure. This enables easy provisioning and management of bare metal resources at remote and edge locations as well as data center locations with limited human access. It also reduces cost of bare metal management by removing any manual aspects for management of your physical infrastructure.
PMB is built using open source Ironic - an open source project for building and managing physical infrastructure. Ironic is an active and popular open source framework with an active base of users and contributors.
Integration with Kubernetes or your private cloud
Since the technology under the hood is based on OpenStack Ironic, your bare metal servers can be managed as part of your Platform9 Managed OpenStack (PMO) private cloud, or orchestrated by Platform9 Managed Kubernetes (PMK).
