Deauthorize Node

Nodes that are not attached to any Kubernetes cluster can be deauthorized from Platform9 Managed Kubernetes. A node must be deauthorized in order to fully remove it from Platform9's management.

Follow the steps below to authorize a node:

  1. Navigate to Infrastructure > Nodes.
  2. Select the node to deauthorize.
  3. Click Deauthorize from the table action bar.
  4. This action will remove all Platform9 packages from the node, including the Platform9 hostagent, and remove the node from Platform9's management.

Note that once the node is deauthorized from Platform9, you can no longer see it in the PMK UI or query it via PMK API.

If a node is accidentally deauthorized it may be reauthorized by running the PMK CLI to prepare the node again, or by manually installing the host agent on the node.
