ArgoCD 5.6 Release Notes

As of release 5.6, Platform9's Managed ArgoCD Offering is still in Preview mode. We do not recommend running production workloads using Platform9's Managed ArgoCD offering. Refer to our guidelines on features in Preview stage and recommended mechanism for working with them.

Release 5.6 of PMK comes built in with a newer version of ArgoCD. In this release, we upgraded the ArgoCD version from 2.1 to 2.2.11.

This release also comes with additional support for ApplicationSets (a feature of ArgoCD 2.3).

The next release of PMK (PMK 5.7) will support ArgoCD 2.4.

Fixed In this release, we fixed a key performance issue with PMK's ArgoCD which was impacting overall PMK performance and causing a slowdown of all PMK services. To fix the issue, we have switched to the label and annotations method of tracking ArgoCD resources, to significantly reduce the performance impact.
