This OpenStack training course is to designed to help DevOps, admins and architects:

  • Build a general understanding of core OpenStack concepts and architecture.
  • Understand the power of OpenStack for automating your servers, storage, and networking infrastructure and building an enterprise-ready private cloud.
  • Become familiar with day-to-day operation of an OpenStack environment using the UI, CLI, and REST APIs.

Day Three: Orchestration and Operations

Part 1: Orchestration and Metering

    • Power down a hypervisor and watch the alarm go off.

  • Exercise: Deploy a multi-node stack enabled with autoscaling
  • Exercise: Explore the Heat CLI
  • Exercise: Monitor auto-scaling using the Ceilometer CLI
