This research was conducted by a team of Gartner analysts, from June through August 2022 using a qualitative interview research methodology. The team selected organizations that satisfied the following criteria:
- Consider themselves generally successful with edge computing
- Must have deployed edge computing services for at least 18 months
- Must be spending (or plan to spend) at least $50,000 per month for edge computing implementation or provider services
- Must be past the initial proof-of-concept phase
