Hidden File(s) or Directories Discovered by Image Library

Problem

One or more hidden files or directories, starting with a dot "." (e.g. ".snapshot"), are discovered by the Image Library component inadvertently, leading to various erroneous image entries for files not intended to be discovered.

Environment

• Platform9 Managed OpenStack - v3.11 and Higher
• Image Library

Cause

Image Library does not currently exclude any files or directories within its specified path from being discovered.

Resolution

N/A - The file(s) and/or folder(s) should be moved out of the Image Library path if possible if not intended to be discovered.

In some cases, a driver, such as NetApp, may end up creating a ".snapshot" directory which can otherwise be hidden.

An Idea (PMO-I-236) is otherwise filed in our Platform9 Ideas Portal which may be voted on and subsequently prioritized by our Product team once/if it has sufficient backing.
