Network Bound Disk Encryption Using Clevis Client With Platform9 Managed OpenStack

Problem

Can we install Clevis client on a Platform9 Managed Hypervisor?

Environment

• Platform9 Managed OpenStack - All Versions
• Clevis installed on Platform9 managed Compute Host
• Tang Server

Answer

The Clevis client decrypts the disk attached to Host at the time of booting of the host. After the disks are decrypted and mounted on the host it will not affect any Platform9 Managed OpenStack services.
