Host Reporting in "Error Authorized State" Due to Missing Physical Network Config Label

Problem

Host's state is observed as being in "Error Authorizing State".

Environment

  • Platform9 Managed OpenStack - v3.6.0 and Higher

Cause

Following errors are observed in the /var/log/pf9/pf9-neutron-ovs-agent.log on the host in question.

524 204398 ERROR neutron.plugins.ml2.drivers.openvswitch.agent.ovs_neutron_agent [req-7a5e09d5-0c70-4b95-89d3-5841365ae467 - - - - -] Parsing bridge_mappings failed: Key [key_name] in mapping: 'key_name: bridge_name' not unique. Agent terminated!

Resolution

  1. In the host configuration, 'Physical Network Config Label' is set to an incorrect value.

  2. In the 'Infrastructure' tab, click on the host that's in Error Authorized State and then select 'Configure'. Compare the appropriate label with the host in a Connected state and update the config labels as they are present on the Connected host.
