# Can Ownership of Instance be Changed?

## Problem

* Is it possible to change the owner of an instance to another user?
* Can an instance be moved to another project(tenant)?

## Environment

* Platform9 Managed OpenStack - All Versions

## Answer

* It is currently not possible to change the owner or tenant of an instance due to limitations with Neutron.
* This feature is still not available with the upstream community of OpenStack.
