# Etcd Backup etcdv3\_backup.db Not Seen On All Master Nodes

## Problem

Could not see `/var/opt/pf9/kube/etcd/etcd-backup/etcdv3_backup.db` in one cluster however it is present on master nodes in another cluster.

## Environment

* Platform9 Managed Kubernetes - All Versions

## Answer

* During investigation, it was observed that Etcd backup was **disabled** on the cluster where backup file was *not* seen.
* The `etcdv3_backup.db` is dumped on master nodes of PMK clusters if Etcd backup is disabled, before a couple of operations and present at location `/var/opt/pf9/kube/etcd/etcd-backup`
