Unable to access Kubernetes workload clusters using password-based Kubeconfigs when the management plane is unavailable or unreachable.

Answer

  • Due to the existing architecture of PMK and SMCP, it is currently impossible to implement password-based Kubeconfigs to function during management plane downtime or maintenance periods.

  • A feature request with ID PMK-6576 has been submitted to address this issue.

  • As an alternative solution, consider using certificate-based Kubeconfigs with extended validity.arrow-up-right
