Due to the existing architecture of PMK and SMCP, it is currently impossible to implement password-based Kubeconfigs to function during management plane downtime or maintenance periods.
A feature request with ID PMK-6576 has been submitted to address this issue.
As an alternative solution, consider using certificate-based Kubeconfigs with extended validity.
