# Does PMK Cluster Upgrade Include Both Kubernetes and ETCD?

Does the PMK cluster upgrade include both Kubernetes and ETCD?

## Environment

* Platform9 Managed Kubernetes - All Versions

## Answer

With regards to both On-Prem and SaaS setups, the PMK cluster upgrade will take care of Kubernetes and ETCD upgrade without any manual intervention but it has to be triggered by the end-users in the U/I at their own convenience.
